Understanding Your Results

How This Test Was Constructed

The standard of measurement is Scripture. Inductive literary methodology was used to extract word meaning and context. The test was constructed toward the command of Luke 10:27 (to love God with all your mind, heart, soul, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself). Because the mind, heart, soul, and strength represent human psychological domains, questions were constructed to target measurement for cross analysis. The human psychological domains of measurement are Cognitive (mind), Affective (heart and soul), Psychomotor (strength), and Outcome (behavioral demonstrations in relationships and society). Just as the schema of psychological domains build upon each other, so do the abilities to love.

The test correlates psychological domains with corresponding Scripture (Mind-Philippians 4:8, Heart and Soul-1 Corinthians 13:3-8, and Strength-Colossians 3:12-16).

What Your Results Mean & Observable Trends

The result scale ranges from 0 to 100 for each category. There is no pass-fail result since the scores are based on self-evaluation. It should reveal areas of strength and weakness. The take away from the results is: What areas are highlighted for growth? There are a few ways to identify these areas:

1. Inconsistent Results: Example: If Cognitive, Affective, and Psychomotor scores are much lower than Outcome scores, this may indicate a social identity of Christianity which lacks in personal relationship with Christ. If reversed, the results may indicate a strong core identity in Christ but a need to connect with godly community to support spiritual growth. If scores for loving self are higher than love for God and others, there may be a imbalance in understanding and/or ability. If love for others exceeds love for God and self, then the love demonstrated may not be biblical. If love for self and others exceeds love for God, the foundation of that love may be self.

2. Consistent Results: If scores are consistently low across all domains, then you may choose to engage in the Spiritual Practices on the CORE Model page for 3-6 months and then retest to see observable changes in growth.

3. What Resonates? If there is a specific theme that you notice in your evaluation or results, this is likely an area that the Holy Spirit is highlighting.

4. There are endless reasons for the results. It is important to end the process by asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate what it is He is trying to reveal to you. Acknowledge it, choose to deny self, pray God’s will be done, and obey him (John 12:27). The Spiritual Practices hosted on the CORE Model page are biblical methods that support your overall spiritual growth in Christ.

For Organizations

There are endless evaluative methods that can be constructed to gauge individual and collective processes. Observing specific trends in your leadership teams and/or congregations can help identify strengths and target growth areas. The observable trends provide the criteria for intercession. As God leads, it also provides the criteria for returning to the biblical standard. A biblical church thrives in endurance and the capacity to once again turn the world upside down.
